Good concept

I ordered the cover for the A4 Planner. after opening the package, it had a weird smell & I can still smell it after a couple weeks of airing out. I also put the cover on the A4 Planner, but it doesn't seen to fit properly. I did put both covers in, but maybe only 1 side should be in?. I'll have to try and see if that works better.

It's the leather. Sometimes when it travels in the heat it does have a scent. It should wear off.

Regarding your planner, yes, only one side (the back cover) should slide behind the middle flap. You'll have a nice snug fit then.
